Ivan & Alyosha added to Timber! Outdoor Music Festival Lineup

Yesterday we were informed that the band River Giant decided to call it quits and that they would be canceling all future shows which includes their scheduled appearance at Timber! Outdoor Music Festival just a mere 9 days away.

We are sad to hear that we wont be able to see River Giant at Timber! this year. However, we are ELATED to announce that the boys in Ivan & Alyosha have synced up their schedules after coming home from a 5 month US tour and will be stepping in to take their place.

Ivan & Alyosha have made a big splash in 2013 with the release of their debut album “All the Times We’ve Had”. After selling out the Showbox in their hometown last February,  they embarked on a successful 4 month US tour and will be leaving for yet another US tour in August.   They have a live show that never fails to bring the house down and we can not wait to sing along with them in the middle of the woods next week.

Limited tickets and camping are still available for Timber! Outdoor Music Fest and start at just $45 for the whole festival.  Come join us!

Wintersong Prep: Our Favorite “Winter Songs”

On November 28th,  Team Up for Non Profits presents their annual fundraising show at the Crocodile with a night featuring 8 wonderful artists all performing songs of winter!

As a prep for this concert featuring: Ivan & Alyosha, Tea Cozies, Shelby Earl, Tom Eddy, Ben Fisher, Kevin Long, Naomi Wachira and Tony Kevin Jr, we’ve taken a few minutes to think of what our favorite “winter songs” are.  Here are the results!

Fleet Foxes – White Winter Hymnal

Tom Waits – Cold Cold Ground

Ok, we know that “Hazy Shade of Winter” is a Simon and Grafunkel song, but The Bangles just killed it.  That and we’re hoping that perhaps the Tea Cozies my rock this for us

Rolling Stones – Winter

The Avett Brothers – Smoke in Our Lights

Nick Cave & the Badseeds – 15 feet of Pure White Snow

Run DMC – Christmas in Hollis

First Aid Kit – New Years Eve

Cold Wind – Arcade Fire

Laura Viers – Snow Camping

Guns N’ Roses – November Rain

and of course, Auld Lang Syne

We will be there and so should you! So come out and help them raise funds for their 2013 Gigs4Good concert series which aims to raise funds and awareness for non profit organizations in the area.   Tickets are available here

What are some of your favorite “Winter Songs”?

Doe Bay Fest ticket sales!

We knew that our first day of ticket sales would far outdo last year’s first day sales which were about 30 tickets but we didn’t expect to sell 433 tickets in the first 10 hours!   With a low ticket allotment of 750 tickets, we’re beginning to wonder if the tickets will even last the week, or even the 2nd day.  So if you’re wanting to go to Doe Bay Fest this year, do not delay, GET YOUR TICKETS NOW!

In other news, we’ve added some amazing bands to our lineup and would love to welcome the following artists to this years festival!

Curtains For You

Ravenna Woods

As well as two new artists that we’ve added to our Cafe Stage!
